Gates

 The temple has four gateways at each cardinal direction.

  1. The Singha Dwar (lion gate) is the eastern gate, 
  2. the Aswa Dwar (horse gate) is the southern gate, 
  3. the Vyaghra Dwar (tiger gate) is the western gate, and 
  4. the Hasti Dwar (elephant gate) is the northern gate. 

They are said to represent Dharma, Jnana, Vairagya and Aishwarya.
